Freestone Partners Announces Completion of a Series of Investments in Sweet Leaf Tea

FEBRUARY 19, 2007, HOUSTON – Freestone Partners announced the completion of a series of investments in Sweet Leaf Tea, an Austin-based producer and marketer of bottled, ready-to-drink iced teas. Founded in 1998 and based in Austin, Sweet Leaf Tea produces 10 flavors, including Original Sweet Tea, Mint & Honey Green Tea, Peach, Raspberry, Hibiscus, Lemonade Tea, as well as several diet flavors. Roy Jones, a Freestone Partners principal and a member of the board of Sweet Leaf Tea, commented, “We are excited about our investment in Sweet Leaf, and look forward to strong sales growth at the company.”
