Freestone Partners, LLC, Announces Acquisition of PBS Lumber Manufacturing, LLC

AUGUST 22, 2003, HOUSTON - Freestone Partners, LLC, announced that an affiliate has acquired the assets of PBS Lumber Manufacturing, Inc., a dimension lumber manufacturer based in Winnfield, Louisiana. The three former owners of the company will remain with the company in senior management positions. Joining the company are five additional managers who bring decades of experience in sawmills across North America. Rick Wilson, the company’s new managing director of operations, has 20 years’ experience in the engineering and operation of sawmills with Procter & Gamble, Weyerhaeuser and Louisiana Pacific. “We like what the founders of the mill have done. We will build on this foundation and anticipate doubling production in the mill within one to two years,” said Wilson.
